What do you have? 11.18.20
Jesus asked, “How much bread do you have?”
They replied, “Seven loaves, and a few small fish.”
So Jesus told all the people to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces. He gave them to the disciples, who distributed the food to the crowd.
They all ate as much as they wanted.
I have been helped by the comments of Dallas Jenkins (Director and writer of THE CHOSEN (a multi-year series on the life of Christ). He said he has learned that his job as a believer is to bring the loaves and fish to Jesus. (In other words, offer your talents and abilities for His service.) God is the one who will use these in whatever way He sees fit.
Realizing this takes the pressure off. Do what you can do and trust that God can take our meager offerings and do things that will stagger us. We do not have to produce the results . . . He does!
Joyfully give the Lord what you have and then watch with amazement.
