The One Who Knows the Way 9.10.21
So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:14–16).
There are times when frustration enters because we believe no one understands the weight we carry or the battle that is going on in our lives. Hebrews tells us there is one who understands, who listens, who has faced what we face. There is one exception: He did not give in! He endured the full pressure of the temptation and emerged victoriously.
What does this mean for us? It means that Jesus understands and can help us endure and gain victory in the struggles of our life. Before we ever find that victory, we need to turn to Him, listen to Him, and follow Him. If we followed Jesus as willingly as our GPS or Google Map directions, we would find the grace and help we so desperately need.
You are not alone. He stands with you and makes His strength available to you. All you have to do is take it.
