Quiet 10.9.21

Quiet 10.9.21

"But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer." (Luke 5:16)

How much quiet time do you have in your life? We have the TV on, our music playing, our headphones on. We spend our lives talking with people and have little time for God. We have so little quiet time that we can be uncomfortable with it. Sometimes a little quiet will lead some of us to fall asleep!

Do you have times of quiet in your relationship with your mate? Do you have times when you visit and get to know each other more deeply? If those times are few and far between, you may be starting to drift apart. Relationships need times of quiet to grow deep roots.

We desperately need to build quiet time into our lives, and we need to have conversations with the Lord. We need time to express our gratitude, our needs, our "issues," and we need time to listen. If Jesus withdrew for prayer, so should we.

Find a place of quiet and sense His arms around you. This doesn't have to be formal and "religious." Make this time intimate, personal, and special.
